In Connecticut, a notable increase in tick encounters has been observed this year. Goudarz Molaei, a tick specialist working for the state, shared with The Associated Press that more than 1,000 ticks have been submitted for testing since January 1st through the state’s examination program. This figure marks the second-highest count in recent years, shedding light on the heightened prevalence of ticks in the region.
