The logo, incidentally, is called Cognac Visetos. Nobody seems to know why. You might think, from the look of the fragrance, that it would be masculine and leathery – that was my first thought. I also think it looks a tad like Louis Vuitton luggage. However, although this is described as a floral wood, the woods are soft, ambered and vanilla-ish. It’s described as unisex which I didn’t really feel to be true at the opening of big raspberry notes with a side order of jasmine which is distinctly flowery and feminine, the dry down is far more masculine in the traditional categorising of fragrances.
I’ll run you through the notes, but for me the predominant ones are fruit, jasmine and soft woods: raspberry, apricot, jasmine, white peony, violet leaf, white moss, vanilla, sandalwood and sheer ambrox. Prices start at £52 for 30ml 50ml (collector’s version reduced from £70 to (and I think it’s cute) £52.50 HERE) – 50ml is £70 HERE (with a free gift – unclear what it actually is) but The Fragrance Shop have loads of options including a necklace which, if you have a Korean boy band loving teen, would probably raise your status to an all time high in the gifting stakes and costs £23 HERE. The Fragrance Shop has a membership scheme which lowers the prices considerably – definitely worth taking a look at if you shop for perfume often.
