A photo of former President of Nigeria Football Federation, Amaju Pinnick kneeling to greet the Olu of Warri, Ogiame Atuwatse III, at the ongoing World Cup in Qatar has surfaced on social media.

In the photos that surfaced over the weekend, Pinnick was seen kneeling to greet the monarch who is present in Qatar to watch the world cup.

The young monarch was also with FIFA officials, including Gianni Infantino, President of the world football governing body.

Although Nigeria did not qualify for the tournament, Pinnick is there carrying out his role as a FIFA official.

The football administrator has strong ties to Warri, which the paramount ruler presides over.

Pele Breaks Silence On Health Status

Meanwhile, Brazilian football legend, Pele has announced that he is “strong” and undergoing his treatment “as usual.

Naija News reports that the 82-year-old made this known via a post on his Instagram page on Saturday, following reports that he had been moved to palliative care.

The Brazilian football legend also appreciated the entire medical and nursing team for all the care he has received, saying that every message of love he received from his over the world keeps himfull of energy.

He wrote: “My friends, I want to keep everyone calm and positive. I’m strong, with a lot of hope and I follow my treatment as usual. I want to thank the entire medical and nursing team for all the care I have received.

I have a lot of faith in God and every message of love I receive from you all over the world keeps me full of energy. And watch Brazil in the World Cup too! Thank you so much for everything.”
