Woman Dies While Waiting for Daughter During Exam in Ondo State
A woman, identified as Oluwasola Victoria Adebayo, has died under tragic circumstances while waiting for her daughter to complete the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) in Ondo State.
The incident occurred at Ilara-Mokin Junction in the Ifedore Local Government Area, where Adebayo had accompanied her daughter to a JAMB examination center. According to eyewitnesses, Adebayo began to feel unwell shortly after arriving at the venue and subsequently collapsed. Bystanders rushed to assist her, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time of the incident, Adebayo’s daughter was inside the examination hall, unaware of her mother’s condition as she continued with her exam.
DSP Abayomi Jimoh, the Police Public Relations Officer in Ondo State, confirmed the incident, stating that authorities were notified and that standard procedures were followed. The body was subsequently released to Adebayo’s son following preliminary investigations.
