Mr P bags honorary doctorate degree | The Nation Nigeria

Peter Okoye also known as Mr P of the defunct P Square group has bagged an honorary doctorate degree of Arts from Escae-Benin University, Benin Republic.

The music star is being recognised for his contributions to dance and music by the institution.

The elated father of two took to his Instagram page on Thursday to share the good news with fans and followers.

He shared photos and a video to flaunt his degree certificate.

The photos and video showed Mr P adorned in a graduation gown holding his glass-framed certificate.

In the video, the singer can be heard telling his fans to add ‘Dr’ to his name when addressing him.

He also went ahead to thank the university, Escae-Benin University, Benin Republic.

He said: “What’s up everybody? Listen up! Do me a favour, put a “Doc” on my name now.

“Thank you very much Escae University of Benin Republic. I love you guys for this. Much love!”

Sharing the post, the “Just Like That” singer wrote;

“Dear Team P! It’s a great honor to be decorated by a distinguished educational institution,

“Who have recognized my contribution to Dance and Music as well as my support for the youth in the entertainment industry.
