Afrobeats Artist Adekunle Gold Discusses Family’s Musical Talents

Afrobeats artist Adekunle Gold has expressed his appreciation for being part of a music-loving family. In a recent episode of the Great Day 20 podcast, Gold shared insights about his family, noting that their five-year-old daughter, Adejare Kosoko, is already showing signs of a burgeoning musical talent.

Gold, who is married to fellow musician Simi, emphasized his excitement regarding their daughter’s interest in music. “It is interesting to be married to another fantastic singer-songwriter, and now our daughter is already giving signs that she might be one for the music as well,” he stated.

During the interview, Gold also addressed circulating rumors about the couple having welcomed twins, clarifying that they have in fact welcomed a son. “My wife and I didn’t give birth to twins; it is just internet rumors. We have a son,” he confirmed.

Adekunle Gold and Simi were married in January 2019 in a private ceremony. They welcomed their first child, Adejare, in May 2020.
