Nigerian Comedian MC Okrika Claims Police Threats Following Misconduct Exposé
Nigerian comedian and activist MC Okrika has reported an alleged threat to his life, claiming that officers of the Nigeria Police Force are targeting him after he exposed supposed misconduct by law enforcement in Cross River State.
In a video that has gained significant attention, Okrika called for intervention from the Inspector General of Police, the Commissioner of Police in Cross River, and the state government. He expressed concern for his safety, stating, “My life is totally at risk because I exposed the evil the police do.”
Okrika alleges that he took action after witnessing police officers allegedly harassing and extorting money from a young man. He stated, “I decided to bring it out because I could no longer hide it.”
He further emphasized the severity of his situation, declaring, “If anything happens to me, the police force should be held accountable,” citing threats he claims to have received. “The police are after my life right now,” he added.
The controversy has sparked public interest and renewed discussions about police conduct in Nigeria.
