‘My life, safety not guaranteed’ — Nollywood actress says she was forced to attend APC campaign

Nollywood actress Oluebube Obio has alleged that she was compelled to attend a campaign event for the All Progressives Congress (APC) due to concerns for her safety.
Her remarks come in response to criticism she received after videos surfaced showing her at the political gathering, leading some Nigerians to question her presence there.
In a social media post addressing the backlash, Obio indicated that there were underlying reasons for her attendance and claimed she was a victim of blackmail. She expressed intent to reveal the identities of those allegedly involved in the blackmail when appropriate, urging her supporters to keep her in their thoughts and prayers.
“I was actually forced to be in such settings; my life and safety are not guaranteed. If you watch the video closely, I felt a great deal of discomfort and stress,” Obio stated.
The actress did not specify who she accused of coercion or blackmail and provided no further details regarding the context of her appearance at the APC event.
