Nasarawa State Assembly to Review State Police Bill Next Week
LAFIA, Nasarawa State — The Nasarawa State House of Assembly plans to begin deliberations on the State Police Bill transmitted from the National Assembly when lawmakers resume sessions on Monday, September 28.
Assembly Speaker Danladi Jatau announced the development during a press briefing on Tuesday. He confirmed that the bill was received from the Clerk of the National Assembly on September 18.
“We are in receipt of the State Police Bill from the Clerk of the National Assembly. We received it last Friday,” Jatau stated.
The Speaker emphasized that legislators will examine the proposed legislation and undertake necessary procedures once they reconvene next week.
“We will go through it when we resume on Monday,” Jatau added, assuring that the Assembly would provide the bill with appropriate legislative scrutiny before moving forward.
