Nigerian troops rescue kidnap victim, neutralise suspects during ransom payment
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, an operation conducted by military forces occurred at approximately 11:19 p.m. on October 16, 2026, in Yan Taburmi village, located within Falgore Forest. The operation targeted a group of suspects as the victim’s family was allegedly delivering ransom. The troops collaborated with other security agencies and local hunters to successfully ambush the individuals at the designated payment site.
