Nollywood Actor Alex Ekubo Dies After Battle with Kidney Cancer
Alex Ekubo, a well-known actor in Nigeria’s Nollywood film industry, has died at the age of 37. Sources close to the actor, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, reported that he was rushed to the hospital on Monday and passed away on Tuesday afternoon after spending several hours on life support.
The sources indicated that Ekubo had been battling kidney cancer. Rumors regarding his health had circulated as far back as May 2025, following his prolonged absence from social media.
