Nollywood Actor Ikechukwu Nweke Reveals Struggle with Colon Cancer

Nollywood actor Ikechukwu Nweke has shared his personal battle with colon cancer, revealing his diagnosis and treatment costs in an emotional Instagram video titled “My Cancer Journey.”

In the video posted on Friday, Nweke disclosed that he was diagnosed with colon cancer last year and has incurred over 15 million Naira in expenses related to chemotherapy, radiotherapy, tests, and medications. He emphasized the financial strain his illness has placed on him and his family.

Nweke expressed gratitude to his family and colleagues, including fellow actors Uche Nancy, Destiny Etiko, Lizzy Gold, and Ebele Okaro, for their support during this challenging time. However, he highlighted that he now requires additional financial assistance to continue his treatment.

“Unfortunately, my battle is not over yet. My doctors have advised that I must continue with the next phase of my treatment to give me the best chance of a full recovery,” Nweke said. “I cannot afford to stop or skip this stage, but the financial burden has become overwhelming.”

He appealed to the public for help, stating, “No amount is too small. Your support, your prayers, and even sharing this video can make a real difference in my fight for life.”
