Nollywood Actor Solomon Akiyesi Dies at Age [Insert Age]
Nigerian actor and entrepreneur Solomon Akiyesi has died, the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) confirmed on Monday.
Abubakar Yakubu, president of the AGN, stated that Akiyesi passed away in his sleep on Sunday. He noted that the actor’s body has been taken to a mortuary in Abuja.
“We are still awaiting further details about the circumstances of his death from his family,” Yakubu said in a statement. “Yes, it is true. He slept and did not wake up. His body is in the morgue in Abuja, where the sad incident occurred.”
Akiyesi, a native of Edo State, was known for his extensive contributions to Nollywood, appearing in various films throughout his career. Notable works include Heart of a Saint, Desperate Ladies, Pretty Liars, and Bridge of Contract.
His sudden passing has left many Nigerians in shock, with tributes beginning to emerge in response to the tragic news.
