LAGOS, Nigeria — Nollywood actor Timini Egbuson and his sister, Dakore Akande, have laid their father to rest in a private ceremony attended by close family members.

Earlier this month, Timini shared the news of their father’s passing through a heartfelt message on social media, expressing his shock at starting the year with such a profound loss.

On Friday, Timini posted photos from the final farewell on Instagram, reflecting on the significance of the day. He described his father as a source of strength and love, stating, “We said our final goodbyes. Rest well, Papa. Your strength and love will always guide me.”

In a separate discussion, Timini recently revealed insights into a personal regret related to his romantic life. He disclosed that his intense focus on work and financial success contributed to the end of a relationship he considered deeply significant.

At the time, he noted, there were no major issues between him and his partner; she simply desired more of his presence. However, Timini prioritized his career, believing that financial stability was the best way to express love.

In an interview with Jay On Air, he explained that he assumed his partner would understand his commitment to building a secure future. Unfortunately, this mindset created distance between them, ultimately leading her to marry someone who could offer her the attention he could not at that time.
