Nigerian actress Ajara Lasisi, widely known as Aunty Ajara, was laid to rest on Thursday, following Islamic funeral rites. The ceremony took place in her community and was attended by family members, friends, and colleagues who mourned her passing amidst tears and prayers.
Video footage from the burial revealed mourners gathered around Aunty Ajara’s grave as a Muslim cleric performed the traditional rites. Her death has left a notable mark on the Nollywood industry, where she was remembered for her humility and dedication to her craft.
Aunty Ajara had been suffering from a serious illness prior to her passing. Colleagues, including Wunmi Toriola and Foluke Daramola, had reached out to the public for donations to support her treatment during her time of need.

He stated, “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved actress, Aunty Ajara. She passed on overnight after a long and courageous battle with illness.”
