Not every artist I signed will become global – Don Jazzy

Music executive Michael Collins Ajereh, widely known as Don Jazzy, has clarified that signing with his record label does not automatically lead to international success.
In a recent livestream conversation with forex trader Habby Forex, Don Jazzy discussed the inherent risks of the music industry, contrasting it with the volatility of forex trading. He acknowledged that not every artist under his label will achieve global fame or generate substantial revenue for the company.
“The forex market is something I engage in for enjoyment. Music occupies most of my time, and my other business ventures are not as unpredictable as forex trading,” Don Jazzy stated. “However, not every artist I sign will reach global status. Similar to trading, the music business carries its own risks. For us, a successful artist is one who improves over time.”
Throughout his career, Don Jazzy has been instrumental in the rise of several Nigerian artists who have gained worldwide recognition, including D’Banj, Tiwa Savage, Rema, and most recently, Ayra Starr.
