‘Not every marriage is toxic’ – Actress Mo Bimpe fires back at critics

Nollywood actress Mo Bimpe has responded to criticism regarding her recent interaction with fellow actor Jide Awobona, captured in a video that circulated on social media.
The one-minute clip prompted various comments from users, leading Bimpe to clarify her stance. In a statement, she expressed that the dialogue between her and Awobona was simply a normal exchange between friends.
“The fact that so many of you found that interaction strange says more about the relationships you’re used to than it does about mine,” Bimpe remarked.
She emphasized that not all marriages are fraught with toxicity, asserting that many are grounded in trust, friendship, respect, and confidence, rather than fear or insecurity.
In her defense of her marriage, Bimpe described Awobona as a family friend and stated that their conversation posed no threat to her relationship with her husband.
“My husband is a secure man. A brief conversation with a family friend does not threaten our marriage or require anyone’s concern,” she said.
Bimpe also noted the existence of healthy marriages and acknowledged that some individuals may not relate to such bonds.
