Kano Pillars Prepare for Upcoming NPFL Season
KANO, Nigeria — Kano Pillars have begun preparations for the 2026/27 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, with a goal of achieving a strong finish in the upcoming campaign.
The team, known as Sai Masu Gida, commenced their pre-season training on Monday morning at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kofar Mata. Chief Coach Ahmed Garba Yaro, along with Assistant Coach Gambo Muhammad and Goalkeepers’ Trainer Suleiman Shuaibu, supervised the training session.
Daniel Ogunmodede, who has recently been appointed as the technical adviser, is expected to arrive in Kano later this week. After successfully maintaining their top-flight status in the previous season, Kano Pillars are now aiming for a top-three finish in the upcoming league.
The new season is set to commence on Friday, August 28, 2026.
