NPFL: Mohammed thumbs up Katsina United’s win over Sporting Lagos

The Chanji Boys secured a 2-1 victory against Jeffrey Buter’s team during a matchday 11 encounter at Muhammadu Dikko Stadium on Sunday.
The home team established control early in the match, with Luis Dadong scoring both of their goals in the first half. Sporting Lagos subsequently narrowed the deficit when Aliyu Baba found the back of the net in the 65th minute.
Following the match, Chanji Boys coach Mohammed praised his players for their performance. “It’s not about a clean sheet; the important thing is that we won against a quality side,” he said. “They have accumulated 10 points away in 11 matches, so it’s not a small feat for us to beat them.”
Despite the win, Mohammed acknowledged the need for improvement. “I think my boys did well, aside from conceding. We will continue working hard until we get it right,” he added.
