NPFL: Rivers United, Rangers set for blockbuster clash in Port Harcourt
Rivers United will face Rangers in a critical matchup for the top spot in the Nigerian league on Sunday at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, according to DAILY POST reports.
Both teams are currently tied with 17 points but are separated by goal difference. Rivers United experienced their first defeat of the season last week, losing 2-1 to Bendel Insurance at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City.
Meanwhile, Rangers, known as the Flying Antelopes, are shifting their focus to defending their league title after being eliminated from the CAF Champions League by Algerian club MC Alger.
