Nú Baby releases a celebratory Afro-pop record titled ‘Masta Jam’

Nú Baby’s latest release, Masta Jam, is a celebratory afro-pop record that sees the singer unapologetically acknowledge that, regardless of where he is now, he is destined for more.

It’s an announcement that he is fully aware of what’s meant for him and the time is near.

The song starts off with a slow intro that is light on instrumentals and heavy on the artist’s vocals, which run smooth and confident till the beat drops and the party starts.

Nú’s harmonies punctuate the track, bouncing off each other, as he melds Yoruba and English in his usual melodious and self-assured tone. Featuring elements of gqom, the drums and shakers make this a heavy bop tune.

However, Nu’s voice shines through, carrying the track, and in no way being overshadowed by the excellently-produced ‘God Omar’ beat.
