NWFL playoff: Three clubs battle for title on final day

Edo Queens Lead to Final Day of NWFL Super Six Playoff

The 2025/26 Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) Super Six Playoff will culminate on Sunday, featuring defending champions Bayelsa Queens, Edo Queens, and Nasarawa Amazons vying for the title.

As the final day approaches, Edo Queens hold the top position in the standings with nine points. Bayelsa Queens and Nasarawa Amazons follow closely behind, each with seven points.

The most significant matchup of the day will see Edo Queens, managed by Moses Aduku, face off against defending champions Bayelsa Queens. A victory for Edo Queens would secure only their second league title in history. A draw could also suffice, provided Nasarawa Amazons do not defeat former champions Rivers Angels in a concurrent match.

Prior to this critical contest, Abia Angels will take on FC Robo Queens in the day’s opening match, aiming to finish their campaigns on a positive note.
