Ogun Medical Centre Attends to 600 Patients Since Launching Radiodiagnostic Services
The Ogun State Government announced that the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence in Abeokuta has served over 600 patients since the launch of its radiodiagnostic services. Governor Dapo Abiodun shared the information through a statement on X on Saturday, highlighting the 250-bed facility as a significant investment in the state’s healthcare infrastructure.
Governor Abiodun described the Gateway Medical Centre as a multi-specialty hospital equipped to deliver specialized services across various medical fields, including obstetrics and gynecology, radiodiagnostics, orthopedics, neurology, and surgery.
“We are proud of the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, a facility designed to provide world-class healthcare services,” Abiodun stated. The hospital features a 10-bed intensive care unit as well as four modern operating theaters.
The governor revealed that the center’s capacity for radiodiagnostic services is expanding in response to the patient volume. “Since commencing radiodiagnostic services, the Centre has already attended to over 600 patients, with capacity being expanded to serve between 3,000 and 4,000 patients in the coming months,” he noted.
This initiative is part of Abiodun’s administration’s commitment to enhancing access to quality healthcare for residents. He emphasized that this investment aims not only to improve medical infrastructure but also to enhance patient experiences and fortify the overall healthcare system.
“At the Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence, our focus is on delivering excellent patient care, ensuring the best possible healthcare experience, and building a stronger, more responsive healthcare system for Ogun State,” Abiodun added.
