Ogun will not tolerate electoral violence – CP Ojajuni

Co-Chairman of the Inter-Agency Consultative Committee on Election Security (ICCES) in Ogun State, Commissioner of Police Bode Ojajuni, reaffirmed the dedication of security agencies to ensuring peaceful general elections in 2027.
Ojajuni made this statement on Tuesday during an election stakeholders’ forum held at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) office in Abeokuta. He underscored the importance of ongoing collaboration among security agencies, electoral stakeholders, and traditional institutions.
The commissioner noted that ICCES would continue to engage with the community and implement proactive security measures before, during, and after the elections. “We are going to ensure that the general election in Ogun State is peaceful,” Ojajuni said.
He also encouraged stakeholders to engage residents—both locals and visitors—to foster a culture of peaceful participation. Ojajuni emphasized that Ogun State would not tolerate electoral violence and called for a collective commitment to uphold a safe and successful electoral process.
