One killed as troops intercept suspected terrorists in Borno

Nigerian Army and CJTF Intercept Suspected Terrorists in Borno State
KONDUGA, Borno State — Troops from the Nigerian Army, in coordination with the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), have detained three individuals suspected of terrorist activities in the Konduga Local Government Area.
The operation took place in the Kayamla region, according to a statement from security expert Zagazola Makama on Saturday.
Makama reported that the suspects claimed to be former militants undergoing rehabilitation at the Bulumkutu Rehabilitation Centre, and stated they were on their way to their farms.
During the operation, one suspect was reportedly found with two rounds of 7.62 x 39mm ammunition. This individual attempted to flee but was neutralized by the troops. The remaining two suspects were apprehended and are currently in military custody for further investigation.
Additionally, the troops recovered various items, including a bicycle and bottles of herbicide, from the suspects as the inquiry continues.
