Osun 2026: ‘I’ll involve Trump if anything goes wrong’ – Davido tells Tinubu

Davido Issues Warning Ahead of Osun Governorship Election

Nigerian afrobeats artist David Adeleke, widely known as Davido, has warned President Bola Tinubu about potential implications for the upcoming Osun state governorship election. During a live-streamed session with comedian Carter Efe, Davido stated he would involve U.S. President Donald Trump if the electoral process encounters substantial problems.

Emphasizing the necessity for a free, fair, and credible election, Davido declared he would not remain passive if irregularities were observed. “I will involve Trump if anything goes wrong in the Osun election,” he said.

Davido’s remarks come as his uncle, Governor Ademola Adeleke, seeks a second term in office in the election scheduled for August 15. The singer has taken an active role in campaigning for the governor and has consistently urged authorities to guarantee a transparent electoral process.
