Osun: ‘Let us unite, heal together’ – Adeleke condoles families of electoral violence victims


Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has called on residents to come together in healing and unity following his recent re-election. In a message shared on his official social media page, Adeleke expressed gratitude to the electorate for granting him a renewed mandate.

Adeleke characterized his victory as a collective achievement and acknowledged the responsibilities that come with leadership. “This victory belongs to all of us, and I accept this renewed mandate with humility and a deep sense of responsibility,” he stated.

The governor also took the opportunity to honor the memory of those who lost their lives due to electoral violence leading up to the election. He extended his condolences to the families and loved ones of the victims, saying, “As we celebrate, we also remember the victims of electoral violence before the election. My heartfelt condolences go to their families and loved ones.”

In his message, Adeleke thanked a broad coalition of supporters, including traditional rulers, religious and community leaders, civil servants, pensioners, youth, women, artisans, traders, farmers, and other residents who backed his administration.

He urged the people of Osun State to set aside the electoral conflict and focus on collaborative efforts to enhance the state’s future. “Together, let us heal, unite and continue building a greater Osun,” Adeleke added.
