Pastor Adeboye never protested under Jonathan – Apostle Johnson Suleman

Apostle Johnson Suleman Defends Pastor Enoch Adeboye Amid Protest Criticism

Omega Fire Ministries Senior Pastor Apostle Johnson Suleman has defended Pastor Enoch Adeboye, General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), against recent criticisms regarding his lack of protests during President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

In a video shared on X, Suleman addressed his congregation in Auchi, Edo State, stating that Adeboye and other clergy members participated in a prayer walk, as directed by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), rather than engaging in protests during former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration. He emphasized the distinction between the two actions, noting that Adeboye did not protest but rather complied with the PFN’s directive due to the challenges of hardship and insecurity at that time.

“Some people are attacking Daddy G.O. Pastor Adeboye, claiming that he protested under former President Jonathan but is not protesting under Tinubu,” Suleman said. “He did not protest then; it was the PFN that directed pastors and preachers to embark on a prayer walk. Do you expect a man of 84 years to come out and protest? I am a son of Adeboye, and if he is not speaking out, I am speaking out too.”

Suleman’s remarks come amid ongoing discussions about the role of religious leaders in responding to social and political issues in the country.
