Pastor Bolaji John of Harvesters Church is dead
A memorial page honoring Pastor Bolaji John was created on Saturday, October 31, 2026, following his death. Details regarding the circumstances of his passing have not yet been disclosed.
Tributes from friends and acquaintances have begun to appear on social media, reflecting the impact he had on those around him. Pastor John served as the campus pastor at the Lekki branch of the Harvesters International Christian Centre (HICC).
One church member, known on the platform X as @nanya_sapphire, shared observations about Senior Pastor Bolaji Idowu, who led the service the day after the news of John’s death. Nanya commented on Idowu’s visibly distressed appearance during the sermon, noting, “His face was so dark, swollen, eyes red; he looked lean. I assumed he was doing his regular 40 days of prayer and fasting or spending time in fellowship with God.”
Nanya also remarked that Idowu’s message, which centered on prophecy and the faithfulness of God, felt unlike his usual sermons.
