Rosman recounted the bleak predictions made by some people in her life following her father’s passing. She faced comments suggesting she might resort to prostitution due to her circumstances. “After I lost my dad at 16, many people told me I would end up becoming a prostitute and getting pregnant out of wedlock,” Rosman said. “Grief can drive you to a point of suicide, as it is one of the hardest things to overcome. My tough upbringing prepared me to strive for better every day. I often wonder how ambitious I might have been if I had grown up in a more comfortable situation.”
