Nigerian Artist Mr P Responds to Retirement Criticism

Nigerian singer and songwriter Peter Okoye, known professionally as Mr P, has addressed criticism regarding his recent music release. The artist faced backlash on social media, with some users suggesting he should retire, arguing that Afrobeats is more suited for younger performers.

In response to the comments, Mr P defended his experience and talents, which include singing, dancing, performing, and playing multiple musical instruments. He took to social media to assert, “Put some respect on the name Peter Okoye aka Mr P.”

The singer also stated that many of his critics are disappointed fans of PSQUARE, the music duo he was part of before their split. “Respect our decision and move on,” he said, emphasizing that his solo career has been a rewarding journey.

Additionally, Mr P announced a recent multi-million-dollar, five-year deal with an international distribution company, which will cover the release of three albums. “Nobody can stop this movement. The train has left the station. It’s Mr P Forever!” he declared.
