Phyna knocks out Nkechi Blessing, emerges champion in celebrity boxing bout

Phyna, the former winner of the Big Brother Naija reality show, secured a victory over actress Nkechi Blessing by technical knockout in the fourth round of their celebrity boxing match in Lagos on Thursday.

The bout took place at the Federal Palace Hotel as part of Balmoral’s ‘Chaos in the Ring’ event. Upon the conclusion of the fight, the organizers announced Phyna as the champion, noting her achievement in what was billed as the first female celebrity bout in the event’s history.

“This has been an incredible Independence Day celebration and an exciting match. We have our winner for the first-ever female celebrity bout in the history of Chaos in the Ring,” the organizers stated.

Phyna’s win followed a public confrontation between her and Nkechi Blessing prior to their agreement to face off in the ring. The victory marks a significant moment in the event’s history as Phyna becomes the inaugural champion of the female celebrity boxing category.
