WARSAW, Poland – Super Eagles head coach Eric Chelle expressed confidence in his team’s depth ahead of their international friendly against Poland on Wednesday, despite the absence of key forwards Victor Osimhen and Ademola Lookman.
Chelle confirmed the players’ unavailability following Nigeria’s commanding 3-0 victory over Jamaica in the Unity Cup tournament final in London last weekend.
During a pre-match press conference on Tuesday, Chelle emphasized the strength of the squad. “I have made a few decisions that I wouldn’t like to elaborate on publicly,” he said. “However, we have a lot of good players who will certainly fill in well for those absent.”
