Police arrest six suspected cultists in Delta, recover arms

Operatives attached to the Delta State Police Command’s Buffalo Squad have arrested six young men suspected to be cultists along Ibusa Road. 

Spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, May 19, 2024. 

“Operatives attached to the Command’s Bufallo squad while on routine patrol along Ibusa Road intercepted a black GLK conveying six young boys; upon searching the suspects and the vehicle, a locally made cut-to-size gun and two live cartridges were recovered,” the PPRO wrote.

“Ordinarily, when people see police stopping random vehicles for a search, passersby will say Police are harassing innocent youths. Our investigation has revealed that they are suspected members of the Black Axe Confraternity.”
