Ogun State Police Commissioner Reinforces Commitment to Campus Security

Abeokuta, Ogun State — The Ogun State Commissioner of Police, CP Bode Ojajuni, reaffirmed the police command’s commitment to ensuring adequate security for educational institutions during a meeting with academic leaders on Wednesday.

Ojajuni met with Prof. Fatiu Arogundade, Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Abeokuta, along with his management team at the Command Headquarters. The commissioner emphasized the importance of collaboration between the Nigeria Police Force and educational institutions to create a safe environment for students and faculty.

During the meeting, Ojajuni highlighted the need to address safety concerns affecting the university community, stating that the visit aimed to bolster the security of students, staff, and critical infrastructure. He also outlined proactive measures to enhance intelligence sharing between the university and law enforcement.

This initiative comes in response to recent incidents of cult clashes reported at various higher education institutions across the state.
