ZAMFARA, Nigeria — The Nigeria Police Force in Zamfara State has successfully rescued two individuals who were kidnapped after intercepting a delivery intended for bandits. Reports indicate that operatives seized 10 jerrycans of petrol believed to be ransom for the victims’ release.

The operation was revealed in a post shared on X by security analyst Bakatsine on Sunday. He reported that police apprehended a man allegedly transporting the fuel to the bandits in exchange for the release of his father and brother.

Following the seizure, police officials entered the forested area where the kidnappers were believed to be hiding. They confronted the criminals and managed to secure the release of the victims safely.

Bakatsine commended the bravery and dedication of the Nigeria Police Force and other security personnel involved in the operation, highlighting their ongoing efforts in combating kidnapping and banditry in the region.
