Nollywood Actress Aunty Ajara Dies After Battle with Liver Disease

Ajara Lasisi, widely known in the film industry as Aunty Ajara, has passed away after a prolonged struggle with liver disease. Her death was confirmed by fellow actor TeeMony in an Instagram post on Thursday.

Lasisi’s illness had prompted industry colleagues, including Wunmi Toriola and Foluke Daramola, to rally public support through donations for her medical treatment.

In his announcement, TeeMony expressed gratitude to those who offered prayers and support during Lasisi’s difficult journey. He stated, “With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved actress, Aunty Ajara. She passed overnight after a long and courageous battle with illness.”

TeeMony acknowledged the outpouring of love and assistance from fans and supporters around the world, emphasizing their collective compassion during her illness. He also requested that family, friends, and the public cease any further monetary contributions, noting that they are no longer necessary.
