President Federation Cup: Mangut hails players despite Ikorodu City loss

Nasarawa United’s technical adviser, Mbwas Mangut, praised his team’s efforts despite their elimination from the President Federation Cup. The Solid Miners lost to Ikorodu City 4-2 in a penalty shootout after the match ended in a 1-1 draw in regulation time, held in Benin City on Wednesday.

Mangut acknowledged that his players created numerous scoring opportunities but struggled to convert them into goals.

“We exit the President Federation Cup with our heads held high,” Mangut stated following the match. “The boys gave everything. We didn’t lose this match; penalties just didn’t go our way today. But rest assured, next season we will return stronger and better.”
