Governor Urges Newly Appointed Advisers to Uphold Integrity and Accountability
DUTSE, Jigawa State — Jigawa State Governor Malam Umar Namadi encouraged newly appointed advisers to commit to their duties with integrity and accountability during a swearing-in ceremony held Monday at the Government House.
The governor emphasized the importance of their oaths, describing public office as a sacred trust. He urged the appointees to let their pledges guide their conduct and decision-making throughout their terms.
“I urge you to always remember the oath you have sworn and allow it to guide you in the discharge of your responsibilities,” Namadi stated. “It will serve as a dependable guide throughout your service to the state.”
Namadi characterized the appointments as crucial for strengthening government operations and advancing his administration’s vision for a more prosperous Jigawa. He noted that the selections were made based on a policy aimed at integrating competent and credible individuals into the administration to foster meaningful development.
The governor highlighted that the profiles of the appointees reflected their knowledge, integrity, and experience, making them well-suited to support the government’s development agenda. He also commended the unity displayed by the new advisers, calling it a positive indication of their willingness to collaborate for the benefit of the state.
“You are joining a government that places a high premium on teamwork,” he assured them. “I am confident that you will work harmoniously with other members of this administration in advancing the development of our dear state.”
The newly sworn-in officials include:
- Muftahu Sa’adu Kiri, Technical Adviser on Higher Education
- Hajiya Salma Wakili, Special Adviser on Entrepreneurship
- Adamu Yusuf Garkuwa, Special Adviser on Hajj Affairs
- Mubarak Aliyu, Special Adviser on Intergovernmental Affairs
- Musbahu Rabi’u Kaugama, Special Adviser on Investment Promotion
- Bala Sule Kila, Special Adviser on Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs)
