Katsina State Government Addresses Suspension of Former Aide Linked to Kidnapping Syndicate

Katsina, Nigeria — The Katsina State government has confirmed that a former Senior Special Assistant to Governor Dikko Umaru Radda on Community Development was suspended prior to being implicated in a kidnapping case.

The ex-assistant has been accused of being a principal figure in the abduction of an eight-year-old boy in the Katsina metropolis.

In a statement issued on Monday, State Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango, emphasized that the official, identified as Garwa, had already been suspended due to allegations concerning the misappropriation of empowerment materials intended for communities in Batsari Local Government Area as part of the state’s Community Development Programme.
