The Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) has unveiled the individual award recipients for the 2025/2026 season.
Adegbuyi Oluwakemi of FC Robo Queens has been named Player of the Season in recognition of her exceptional performances throughout the league. The midfielder’s consistency and significant impact on the field played a crucial role in her selection.
The Golden Glove award went to Fatima Oloko, the goalkeeper for Abia Angels and the Super Falcons. Her outstanding performances were vital in securing a respectable finish for her team this season.
Rivers Angels received the Fair Play Award, acknowledging their exemplary sportsmanship and conduct both on and off the field.
The awards celebrate a season filled with notable achievements, recognizing players and teams that showcased skill and professionalism.
In tournament play, Edo Queens emerged as the 2025-26 NWFL champions by claiming the top position at the Super Six playoff tournament held in Port-Harcourt. The Benin-based club will advance to compete in the WAFU B Women’s Champions League next season.
