Ronaldo reacts to winning Ballon d’Or of All Time
Cristiano Ronaldo publicly expressed his gratitude to football fans for selecting him as the recipient of the “Ballon d’Or of All Time” award in a post on X Thursday.
“Football belongs to the fans! Thank you to all the fans around the world; the Ballon d’Or of All Time is also yours,” Ronaldo stated.
Ronaldo’s 2008 season, during which he won the Ballon d’Or, was recognized as the best in the history of the award.
This acknowledgment coincides with a recent public poll organized to commemorate the 70th anniversary of the Ballon d’Or. Fans were invited to vote for their favorite winning season, and Ronaldo emerged as the top choice. Lionel Messi’s 2012 season finished in second place.
