Men’s Golfer of the Week

Ian Gilligan  Florida

  • Led Florida to its third consecutive tournament win to start the spring
  • Finished 3rd individually at the Gators Invitational Shot a bogey-free round two of 62 (-8), tying the program record for low round
  • Had a 54-hole score of 200 (-10) with all three rounds under par
  • Recorded all three rounds in the 60s – 69-62-69
  • Averaged 2.93 on par-3s, 3.77 on par-4s and 4.78 on par-5s
  • Out of 54-holes had 34 pars, 14 birdies and an eagle

Men’s Freshman of the Week

Jack Turner  Florida
Fr. Orlando, Fla.
  • Finished T6 at the Gators Invitational
  • Shot a 54-hole score of 205 (-5)
  • Recorded two rounds in the 60s – 68 and 66
  • Averaged 3.92 on par-4s and 4.22 on par-5s
  • Tied for the third in the field with 15 birdies

Women’s Golfer of the Week

Maisie Filler  Florida
Sr. Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
  • Won the individual title by three shots at the Moon Golf Invitational
  • Shot a 54-hole score of 207 (-10)
  • Recorded all three rounds under par; 66-69-72
  • Had the tournament low for round with a 66 (-6)
  • Averaged 2.83 on par3s, 3.90 on par4s and 4.67 on par5s
  • Tied for a tournament-leading 14 birdies
  • Over 54-holes, made 35 pars and 14 birdies

Women’s Freshman of the Week

Avery Weed  Mississippi State
Fr. Ocean Springs, Miss.
  • Finished runner-up at the Nexus Collegiate Invitational (2/12-14)
  • Marked her best career finish and first ever top-five finish
  • Also marked the best finish for a freshman at Mississippi State since 2022.
  • Shot 74 – 70 – 71 to finish the tournament one-under par.
  • One of only five golfers in a 66-player field to finish the tournament under-par.
