Security Forces Neutralize Two Suspected Terrorists in Katsina State

KANKARA, Katsina State — Security forces have reported the death of two suspected terrorists during a patrol operation in Kankara Local Government Area. The incident occurred at approximately 6:20 p.m. on April 30 near Dankwabo village, according to information shared on social media by security analyst Zagazola Makama.

Troops from the 17 Brigade encountered armed individuals during their patrol, leading to an exchange of gunfire. While two suspects were neutralized, others reportedly fled the scene.

Items recovered from the site include an AK-47 rifle, a magazine, two rounds of 7.62mm ammunition, a motorcycle, four mobile phones, a power bank, and cash amounting to ₦20,000.

Security sources indicated that follow-up operations are ongoing to track the fleeing suspects and enhance safety in the region.
