Share a tip on a long weekend trip – you could win a holiday voucher

With an additional day off to mark King Charles’s coronation on 8 May, many of us will be making plans for one of the approaching long weekends, whether it’s a peaceful break in the countryside, a hop across the Channel for some spring sunshine, an epic weekend of adventure, or just a saunter down to your favourite pub to spend some time with family and friends.

We’d like to hear about your favourites spots to spend a long weekend. If you have a relevant photo, do send it in – but it’s your words that will be judged for the competition.

Keep your tip to about 100 words

The best tip of the week, chosen by Tom Hall of Lonely Planet, will win a £200 voucher to stay at a Coolstays property – the company has more than 3,000 worldwide. The best tips will appear in the Guardian Travel section and website.
