Singer Goke Bajowa finally settles copyright dispute with Boye Best [VIDEO]

Gospel Singers Goke Bajowa and Boye Best Resolve Copyright Dispute

Abeokuta, Ogun State — Renowned gospel singer Goke Bajowa has reached an agreement to resolve his copyright dispute with fellow artist Boye Best. The reconciliation took place Wednesday evening during the launch of Best’s new album.

The conflict arose earlier this week when Bajowa threatened legal action against Best, alleging that Best had used his popular song “Iwo Ko Lodami” in promotional materials for the album launch. Bajowa claimed this made it appear as though Best owned the rights to the song.

In response, Best posted a video on Instagram denying the allegations. He stated that the promotional video had been created by a lounge manager without his approval.

Footage shared on Instagram by Bajowa on Thursday showed him and Best performing together at the album launch. In the video, the two artists embraced, with Bajowa expressing his newfound respect for Best. “One love, one family,” he said. “Boye is a good person. Many people have told me about him, but I didn’t believe it. I think I will have to agree now with what I have seen in the last four days. God bless you. We will do a collaboration that people can stream and tidy up the paperwork.”

The event also featured appearances from several notable figures in the Nigerian entertainment industry, including singers Alayo, KS1 Malaika, 9ice, and actor Adeniyi Johnson, among others.

For those interested, a video of the reconciliation is available on Instagram.
