WARSAW — FC Basel winger Philip Otele has joined the Super Eagles camp in Warsaw ahead of their international friendly match against Poland. His arrival increases the roster to 21 players, as confirmed by sources.
The 27-year-old winger participated in Nigeria’s two matches during the Unity Cup invitational tournament last week, where he notably provided an assist in the team’s 3-0 victory over Jamaica.
Given his late entry to the camp, Otele is anticipated to be listed among the substitutes for the upcoming match. He has earned three caps for Nigeria since making his debut against Jordan in March.
