Suspected thief nabbed for stealing laptop in Bayelsa

Operatives of the Bayelsa State Volunteers have arrested a suspected thief for allegedly stealing an HP laptop at Agudama-Epie in Yenagoa, the state capital.

 

 

The suspect identified as Richard Olopele, 24, hails from Arogbo Community in Ondo State but resident in Agudama.

 

 

In a confessional statement after his arrest on Thursday, April 13, 2023, the suspect admitted to have broken into Engr. Lambert Miebi’s living home at Agudama-Epie in the guise of looking for his friend who is a relative of Lambert.

 

 

Further interrogation revealed that he had sold the Laptop with the sum of twelve thousand naira (12,000.00) and the buyer has been reportedly arrested.

 

 

The suspect has since been handed over to the Anti-Cultism Unit, Nigeria Police Force, Bayelsa State Command for further investigation and prosecution.
