Tate brothers arrested in Miami as UK adds rape, trafficking charges | Crime News

Influencer Brothers Arrested in Miami Amid Extradition Request

Andrew and Tristan Tate, dual nationals of the United States and the United Kingdom, were arrested on a sealed warrant in Miami, Florida, on Saturday, according to the United States Marshals Service. The UK government is pursuing their extradition on charges related to rape and sex trafficking.

British prosecutors announced new charges against the brothers, including rape and possession of indecent images involving a child. The UK’s Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) revealed that Andrew Tate, 39, faces seven counts of rape, three counts of sex trafficking, and multiple other charges related to child pornography and extreme pornography. Tristan Tate, 38, is charged with one count of sexual assault, two counts of rape, and three counts of facilitating trafficking for sexual exploitation.

These new allegations add to existing charges against the Tates in the UK, which involve a total of 21 counts, including rape, human trafficking, and actual bodily harm related to three victims. The CPS stated that the total number of alleged victims has now risen to seven, with incidents reportedly occurring between July 2010 and August 2017.

The brothers had previously fled Romania after their arrest in 2022, where they face separate and unrelated charges, which also include rape and human trafficking.

Despite facing significant legal challenges, the Tate brothers have garnered substantial online fame, showcasing a lavish lifestyle that has drawn both admiration and widespread criticism for its offensive and misogynistic undertones. In 2025, it was reported that a White House official intervened to safeguard their interests after U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials seized their electronic devices.

Both Andrew and Tristan Tate have denied the charges against them.
