The enemy snatched you away from us when you are almost done with school – Friends mourn final year ABSU medical student who died in auto crash

Friends and acquaintances are mourning the final year Abia State University Uturu Medicine and Surgery student, Favour Okpanku. 

LIB reported that Favour and two other medical students died in an auto crash which occurred at the Okigwe axis of the Enugu-Umuahia Expressway on Thursday, March 21, 2024. 

The victims were returning to Aba from the school’s induction of medical students. 

Two others were injured and are battling for their lives now in the hospital while one miraculously survived. 

“If I don’t know you or have any connections with you is a different thing. You were one of my junior students back then in secondary school that I will send a message. Without exchange of words you will humbly respond to it,” one Onyeukwu Amarachi wrote.

 

“The last time we saw during your brother’s child dedication I was so glad and happy that you have grown into a full adult. Then I asked you what are you studying in school. You said mama Medicine and Surgery. I shouted wow see our baby doctor favour. 

 

“You smiled. Back then I used to know you to be a very smart and intelligent young woman. When you started your perfume business you contacted me and I gave my reviews and also helped you to promote your brand through my social handles. 

 

“Now that you are almost done with school and the enemy came and snatched you away from us. Waking up this early morning to see your pictures flying up and down on the internet broke my heart. Am sorry my girl. This is sad. Even though we don’t talk everyday. You were one of my favorite girls. And I love you from heart. Rip Dr Favor Okpanku. Am broken.”
